STEP ONE - POWER UP AND CONNECT TO SYSTEM
Hold disc in front of you at Solar Plexus height with the thumb and first finger of each hand and wait for a rocking motion.

STEP TWO - Think of the negative event from the past and bring up the emotional content
After Powering Up you should focus your mind on the event from the past and try to re-experience the emotions related to it.
If you are trying to do this for a person, think about the person doing the thing that makes you feel bad.
If you are trying to get rid of an association with a thing, which is causing phobia type emotions, think about a situation where it might trigger a negative response within you. Example: A spider walking up a wall -

STEP THREE - Activating the Emotional Release Function
To activate the function continue to think about the event, situation, person or thing as you raise your arm to shoulder height. Keep your physical awareness on the disc in your right hand as well as the event etc. After 30 seconds, imagine your arm is a windscreen wiper and using a swiping motion, lift your arm above your head and return it to shoulder height. Do this 3 times; then focus your mind back to the event and see if there are still any negative emotional elements. If there are, repeat the process again swiping your arm up and down 3 times. Repeat the above until there is no negative emotional content associated with your memory. (Only try this a maximum of 3 sets)
